Cooperation with Kafr El-Sheikh University
The president of Kafr El-Sheikh University receives the director of the International Program for Strawberry Cultivation at the American University of Florida to research scientific cooperation.
Dr. Abdul Razzaq Dasouqi, President of Kafrul Sheikh University, Dr. Faheem Al-Barai Qoura, Director of the International Program for Strawberry Cultivation at the University of Florida, American University, Professor of Plant Department, Faculty of Agriculture, Al-Zakazik University, and a fellow study fellow, to research ways of cooperation between the two sides.
Dr. Abdul Raziq Dasouqi, President of Kafr Sheikh University, stated that the visit comes in the framework of the joint research interests in the field of scientific research to generate and grow new varieties of salts, strawberries, blueberries and blackberries, and sustainable agriculture to stand on the forefront of future cooperation between the two sides.
The President of Kafr El Sheikh University confirmed that the meeting discussed ways of cooperation and training research that specializes in the development of agriculture to improve the scientific level of the university students and conduct various service research that serves the agriculture sector to meet the needs of the local, regional and international markets by relying on the latest scientific and technological means in agriculture that are in line with scientific requirements The modern, which benefits the service of the local community, expressing its appreciation for the cooperation of many bodies and institutions, emphasizes the importance of communicating with them in order to achieve Egypt 2030 vision by encouraging international cooperation and sustainable development.
On his side, Dr. Fahim Al-Barai Qoura, the director of the International Program for Strawberry Cultivation at the University of Florida, expressed his happiness with this meeting, and praised the role of the University's research, education and community service, wishing the University and its leadership all the best in achieving advanced centers on the local and international levels.
Dr. Fahim Al-Baraiy Qoura stated that during the meeting, a research on cooperation between the Faculty of Agriculture and the International Strawberry Farming Program at the University of Florida American, was conducted to assess the scientific progress of the University, as well as to learn about the possibilities of the University, and research ways of future cooperation in the field of preparation and training of students and graduates.
Dr. Abdel Razek Desouky, President of Kafrelsheikh University, received Dr. Faheem El-Borai Qoura, Director of the International Strawberry Breeding Program at the University of Florida and Professor of Botany at the Faculty of Agriculture, Zagazig University, and a former classmate, to discuss potential avenues for scientific cooperation between the two sides.
Dr. Desouky stated that the visit falls within the framework of shared research interests in developing and breeding new varieties of citrus fruits, strawberries, blueberries, and blackberries, as well as advancing sustainable agriculture, with the goal of exploring future cooperation opportunities.
The meeting also discussed collaboration and training programs aimed at enhancing agricultural development, elevating the academic level of university students, and conducting applied research to serve the agricultural sector. The aim is to meet the needs of local, regional, and international markets by adopting the latest scientific and technological agricultural methods in line with modern scientific demands.
Dr. Desouky expressed his appreciation for the cooperation of various institutions and emphasized the importance of such partnerships in achieving Egypt’s Vision 2030, promoting international collaboration, and sustainable development.
For his part, Dr. Faheem El-Borai Qoura expressed his pleasure with the meeting and praised the university’s role in research, education, and community service. He wished the university and its leadership continued success in achieving advanced standings locally and internationally.
Dr. Qoura also noted that the meeting included discussions on cooperation between the Faculty of Agriculture at Kafrelsheikh University and the International Strawberry Breeding Program at the University of Florida. The talks explored the university’s scientific progress, capabilities, and opportunities for future collaboration in student and graduate training.
